The research group gained a full understanding of the resource characteristics and distribution of COVID-19 prevention and control archives in Hubei Province, as well as the needs of Party committees and governments at all levels, the units that create COVID-19 prevention and control archives, and the public for the use of these archival resources. On this basis, the group identified and solved the development problems in building prevention and control archival resources, and built a thematic archival resource management platform. A professional archival collection team was set up to actively collect archives, with collection tasks classified and refined. Unified acceptance standards for COVID-19 prevention and control archives were established, and their storage formats were standardized. Attention was given to the long-term preservation and security of prevention and control archival resources. Control of classified information was strengthened to protect the security of prevention and control archives. The existing archival resources were developed in diverse ways to bring COVID-19 prevention and control archives to life. In addition, the solution proposed by this project was applied in 2023 to the "Epidemic Thematic Archives Management Platform" construction project of the Science, Technology and Information Division of the Hubei Provincial Archives. The project also published 3 academic papers, including: "A Quantitative Study of Policy Texts on Digital Archives Construction in China from the Perspective of Policy Tools" and "Research on Building a Three-Dimensional Framework for Emergency Archives Management Based on HSM".
