On June 17, Zhongchu Liu, Director of the Hubei Provincial Archives, and Xiaochun Liu, Deputy Director, led a delegation to the laboratory for an inspection and research visit. The visit aimed to promote practical cooperation between the laboratory and the Hubei Provincial Archives, advance the high-quality development of laboratory construction under the strategy of revitalizing archives through science and technology, vigorously deepen collaboration between the two parties, jointly support the long-term, healthy, stable and sustainable development of the laboratory, and jointly improve the quality and efficiency of archival science and technology work in Hubei Province. Wei Lu, Director of the laboratory and Dean of the School of Information Management, Hua Wang, Associate Dean, and faculty representatives from the Department of Archives and Government Information attended the symposium. Ping Wang, Deputy Director of the laboratory, chaired the meeting.

Wei Lu warmly welcomed Zhongchu Liu and the delegation and expressed sincere gratitude to the Hubei Provincial Archives for its support of the laboratory's construction and development. He gave an introduction covering the faculty strength and student numbers of the School and the Department of Archives, the School's research platforms, and the background of the laboratory's establishment.

Ping Wang and members of the laboratory team reported on the laboratory's joint construction mechanism, positioning and distinctive features, and external exchanges, as well as implemented achievements such as the Archives Opening Review and Classification Level Detection System and the AI+ Archives Intelligent Integrated Management Platform. Ping Wang also analyzed and explained the current problems and difficulties in the laboratory's construction.

Zhongchu Liu affirmed the laboratory's achievements and offered suggestions on optimizing the laboratory's structure, government-industry-university-research cooperation, resource support, and project-driven development, encouraging the laboratory to carry out its construction and archival science and technology innovation in line with the characteristics and requirements of new quality productive forces. Xiaochun Liu proposed further promoting joint construction and collaboration between the laboratory and the Provincial Archives through measures such as creating a signature academic forum, conducting overseas visits and exchanges, and cooperating on science and technology projects. Heads of relevant divisions of the Provincial Archives and members of the laboratory team held discussions on the functions of the systems developed by the laboratory, as well as on classified information screening of archives, intelligent compilation and research, and development services.
