The Photo Restoration System is an image processing system based on a black-and-white image colorization model. When a black-and-white image is input, the system colorizes the full image end to end and returns the colorized image. The system uses an industry-leading image colorization algorithm developed for it. A backbone network and an image decoder with a UNet structure extract image features and upsample feature maps respectively, and a color decoder with a Transformer structure performs color queries based on visual semantics. Finally, the color channel predictions are aggregated and output. The system can generate natural and vivid color results from input black-and-white images.
