On March 5, a delegation led by Zhiyong Fan and Xinqi Li, Deputy Directors of the Xiaogan Archives, visited the Key Laboratory of Intelligent Development and Service of Archives for research and exchange. Ping Wang, Deputy Dean of the School of Information Management at Wuhan University and Director of the Laboratory, and others attended the symposium.
At the meeting, the two sides held in-depth discussions on core topics including archival opening review, intelligent archival compilation and research, and the development of archival management systems. Ping Wang introduced the intelligent opening review system developed by the Laboratory, which integrates OCR and semantic analysis technologies and can effectively assist manual review. He also proposed that, for intelligent archival compilation and research, thematic databases could be built on knowledge graph and large language model technologies to promote the transformation of archival resources from management to service. Laboratory members then presented the Laboratory's technical expertise in system development, and the two sides held in-depth exchanges on upgrade paths for archival management systems, approaches to embedding intelligent functions, and mechanisms for advancing cooperation.
Zhiyong Fan and Xinqi Li fully affirmed the Laboratory's positive achievements in promoting the digital and intelligent transformation of archival work, and stated that they would actively introduce the Laboratory's research outcomes to upgrade archival work in Xiaogan. They also expressed the hope that the two sides would further deepen cooperation in projects, research topics, and technology application, so that related outcomes can be put into practice and deliver results.
