On September 26, the results of the National Finals of the "Huawei Cup" 6th China Postgraduate Artificial Intelligence Innovation Competition were announced. The "Luojia Tingjian" team, captained by Jiajia Li, a doctoral student of the lab, won the overall championship in the finals.

Led by the School of Information Management and the Key Laboratory of Intelligent Development and Service of Archives of Wuhan University, jointly supervised by Professor Ping Wang and Professor Lefei Zhang of the lab, and captained by Jiajia Li, a doctoral student of the lab from the class of 2023, the "Luojia Tingjian" team, with its project "Hearing Song Ci: A Multimodal Large Model-Based Platform for Song Ci Music Restoration and an Educational Metaverse VR Platform," passed the first round of public defense in the finals and advanced to the national top 18. In the second round, the championship contest, after intense competition including on-site presentations and competitive defenses, the team won the overall championship of the competition. Professor Ping Wang and Professor Lefei Zhang received the "Outstanding Supervisor Award."

In its project, the "Luojia Tingjian" team built the first archival dataset for Song Ci music restoration. By training multi-stage music generation models based on autoregressive and diffusion generation, and combining them with a large model for Song Ci content generation based on retrieval augmentation and chain of thought, the team created an end-to-end generation and restoration platform integrating lyrics, music and images, as well as a prototype educational metaverse VR system for Song Ci music. The platform can serve as an interdisciplinary teaching support platform, a Song Ci music creation support platform and a smart promotion platform for Song Ci culture and tourism, advancing the development of AIGCC (Artificial Intelligence Generated Chinese Content).
The lab attaches great importance to combining theory with practice, building platforms for academic exchange and practical training for its master's and doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers, and providing solid talent and intellectual support for developing new quality productive forces in the archival field. In the future, the lab will continue to build diversified platforms for digital and intelligent innovation in education, enabling artificial intelligence to enhance the innovative capacity of cultural heritage archives, helping students unleash their digital and intelligent innovation potential, and continuously cultivating high-level innovative and applied talent in the field of document and data.
